USB TINY ISP USB AVR PROGRAMMER

I’ve tried this USB TINY ISP AVR PROGRAMMER thanks to ladyada.net. It is said that this programmer is open source and low cost so i decided to make one. it uses the cheap chip ATTINY 2313 as the buffer and using usb port for programming. The real schematic is  rather complex for me, so i modified it a lot. I discard the buffer IC and LED indicator. I also left only one ISP port which is 2×5 IDC header. This modification makes it more compact in size, about the size of USB flash disk. PCB is also single layer so it is really cheap to produce it. the target boar is also USB powered, so there is no need for external power supply.

This AVR programmer is compatible with AVRDUDE which is included in WINAVR. To make it easier to use, i use AVR BURN O MAT. It is like GUI for AVRDUDE. With Burn O Mat, i can easil modify fusebit by choosing desired option. I can also easily write AVR without opening WINAVR. The writing speed is fast enough, faster than many other programmer. This programmer can write the newly unwritten AVR without the need of jumper or operating clock value reduction like some other type.

Right now this is my favourite programmer i am using. I built this programmer with cost about Rp 40000. With the compact size and good writing speed and low cost, i recommended this type of programmer for all of you.
